One of my favorite parts of what I get to do is the amount of traveling involved. It's usually the same routine every time; a 4 a.m. wake-up call to catch the earliest flight to whatever connecting city I may need and then a second and final flight to reach my destination. Once there, it's usually a short Uber/Taxi ride to my hotel or a rental car if there's no major airport nearby. Believe it or not, the latter is usually my favorite. The trek to this weeks show took me to the southern town of Alamosa, Colorado which resulted in one of the most relaxing shows and trips I've had this year. Since Alamosa is so withdrawn from any major Colorado city or airport, I had to land in Colorado Springs and then make a 2 1/2-hr drive filled with some of the most breathtaking views the country side had to offer. However, it was the drive back after the show the following morning that provided the most eye candy due to the freshly fallen snow from the night before. Below is just a bit of that scenery. |
