I couldn't think of a more fitting occasion than this one for the debut of my first Wanderings blog post. So, with that being said, there’s good news and bad news. I’ll start with the latter. The bad news is that unless you’re officially attending SXSW (meaning that you’re a registered badge holder) you won’t be able to catch me live during the festival.
However, the good news is that I’ll also be performing at Goorin Bros. “Officially Unofficial” SXSW Showcase on Sunday which is open to the general public. Both badge and non-badge holders alike are more than welcome to attend. The best part about it is that it’s completely free! For the past few years, Goorin Bros. has jump started SXSW with this kick-ass showcase that runs for the duration of the festival. Think NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series but in a Haberdashery and Hat Shop. It’s always a party, and you’re invited to stop in, see an act or two, have a drink, and try on a few hats. Totally an Austin thing to do. I’d love to see you all there, and even better if we pack the house. You’re in for a hell of a show!
